You may not have met our Senior Reservationist Lorraine, better known by us as Lolo, but you may very well have chatted to her on the phone or over email. This powerhouse woman has been with Tanda Tula since 2015. She is dynamic, fun, efficient, and a serious fashionista.
Lolo has been in the hospitality and tourism industry since 2000, and she still loves coming to work every single day, the main reason being that she feels like Tanda Tula is her second home. The best part of her job? “It must be seeing enquiries convert into actual bookings, as well as creating relationships with the people I chat to everyday, it is a bonus that no two days are ever the same. Although there are challenges, like when flights get cancelled or luggage is lost, however I really enjoy finding solutions and helping our guests.”

Lorraine has one precious daughter, Lesego, who is one of the Tanda Tula Scholarship learners. “Her name means gift, and she truly is the greatest gift to me. She is now 14 years old, and I am so proud of how dedicated she is to her schoolwork, but also when she is on the sports field, she plays so well. Lesego loves to draw and design patterns for dresses and wants to be a fashion designer one day.” This is not that surprising considering Lolo is the most incredible seamstress with an alteration business as her side hustle, she is in high demand around town. One of the most important lessons that Lorraine is sharing with her daughter is that she must explore all her options in life, she has a bright future, and she must never doubt her abilities.
Lorraine has other hidden talents and passions! When this gorgeous lady is not behind her computer or her sewing machine, you will find her on the back of a superbike, attending one of the bikers’ rallies. This interest is not so much about the “need for speed”, but rather about the community of people she has met at these fun events and the friends she has made along the way.
