At Tanda Tula, dining is more than a meal. It’s a celebration of togetherness, a moment to be fully present, and a way to honour life. We embrace simplicity, letting Africa’s vibrant flavours and fresh seasonal bounty speak for themselves.

When creating our menu, I wanted something truly special. So, I turned to our team, representing a rich tapestry of South African cultures, and asked them to share their most cherished dish from their childhood. We reimagined each of those recipes, adding a touch of creativity while preserving their essence. Every plate we serve is a story from the heart, a connection to tradition, and a celebration of our beautiful heritage.

The setting is as important as the plate

Just the absolute best

Repeated sightings of all of the Big 5 - and much more. Our guide (Tristan) and tracker (Glenn, who tracked down a pride of lions on foot and then guided our vehicle to a kill) are the best that there could possibly be. Their knowledge, insight, and easy manner are second to none.
