A safari camp should be more than just beautiful — it should immerse you in nature and feed your senses.

Here, nine hybrid canvas-and-glass suites open onto the serene bushveld along the banks of the Nhlaralumi River. A secluded hide. An inviting library. An open-air bar. Spaces designed for gathering or solitude, as you choose.

Our interiors pay tribute to South Africa’s Tsonga people, the original custodians of this land, blending cultural heritage with modern luxuries. And we’re energy efficient – solar-powered, water-wise.

Whether sharing stories around the fire, enjoying quiet reflection on your private deck, or simply absorbing the breathtaking wilderness views, Tanda Tula Safari Camp is a sanctuary that adapts to your pace.

Your Accommodation

Each suite at Tanda Tula overlooks the Nhlaralumi riverbed, with sliding glass doors and canvas walls that flood the interiors with natural light and seamlessly bring the magic of the outside in.

Design reflects the beauty of the bush, with shades and textures inspired by the landscape—deep aubergine, textured wood, and intricate patterns of Tsonga tradition. Contemporary local art and fine linens complete the sense of effortless luxury.

Every suite is fully off-grid, powered by solar energy and equipped with water-wise systems, allowing you to indulge with a clear conscience, knowing you tread lightly on the earth.

Just the absolute best

Repeated sightings of all of the Big 5 - and much more. Our guide (Tristan) and tracker (Glenn, who tracked down a pride of lions on foot and then guided our vehicle to a kill) are the best that there could possibly be. Their knowledge, insight, and easy manner are second to none.
