Our interiors pay tribute to South Africa’s Tsonga people, the original custodians of this land, blending cultural heritage with modern luxuries. And we’re energy efficient – solar-powered, water-wise.

Your Accommodation

Each suite at Tanda Tula overlooks the Nhlaralumi riverbed, with sliding glass doors and canvas walls that flood the interiors with natural light and seamlessly bring the magic of the outside in.

Design reflects the beauty of the bush, with shades and textures inspired by the landscape—deep aubergine, textured wood, and intricate patterns of Tsonga tradition. Contemporary local art and fine linens complete the sense of effortless luxury.

Every suite is fully off-grid, powered by solar energy and equipped with water-wise systems, allowing you to indulge with a clear conscience, knowing you tread lightly on the earth.

Safari Suites

Our seven Safari Suites are private sanctuaries featuring a spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom, and a lounge, with an outdoor deck and private plunge pool ideal for relaxing or taking in the views.

Family Suites

Our two Family Suites are perfect for younger families, offering two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, a shared lounge area, and an outdoor deck with a private plunge pool.

Five wonderful days

A wonderful, spacious and comfortable main building making the best of the view onto the river bed in front and across the lawn (bushbuck nibbling on the grass) to the water hole (where a small herd of elephants were drinking) on one side. There is a lovely infinity pool with loungers next to the lawn where one could easily spend the rest of one's life reading and swimming and watching the passing parade at the water hole.

Brilliant Safari

A luxurious retreat after busy, busy safaris. The rooms were vast and luxurious with comfy beds and a bath with a view. The dip pools attached were a treat being able to use and see the wildlife opposite; zebra and giraffe.

Amazing animals and camp

The camp was amazing with luxurious spacious room with all you could want …. Plunge pool, outside shower, own bar, kettle for hot drinks as well as wood burning stove for those cold winter nights.
